Start with a clear image, adjust the light, and choose a size. After removing a background, use PNG or WebP to keep transparency.
Simple editing. Clear privacy.
Edits and images stay in browser memory. Refreshing or switching language starts a new session, so save your image first.
Is background removal really free?
Yes. This editor has no per-image fees or watermark. It runs the open-source U²-Net-p model on your device. On first use, runtime files come from jsDelivr and the model comes from Hugging Face; your image is not sent to either service. Initial loading time depends on your connection and device.
What about large images or delicate edges?
Large images are reduced to 2560 pixels on the longest edge to protect device memory; the input limit is 24 megapixels. This lightweight model works best on distinct subjects; hair and transparent objects may need a more precise editor. Check edges on another background before using the result. Enlarging export dimensions does not add detail.
